Welcome to Part 2 of SHARE Omaha's Giving Tuesday series, "What your dollars can do".
Take some time now to explore these organizations and discover new-to-you nonprofits. Planning your giving is fun, easy and meaningful. That's a promise.
It's as simple as choosing your nonprofits, clicking a dollar amount, adding to your cart and checking out! What good will you do?
Bellevue University Foundation: A $10 donation will provide snacks for 10 veterans. A $25 donation will supply pairs of socks for 25 veterans. A $50 donation will cover hand and feet warmers for 75 veterans, and a $100 donation will provide boots for two veterans.
Restoring Dignity: A $20 donation will buy 16 bottles of handsoap for refugee families.
100 Black Men of Omaha: A $350 donation will allow one student to be a part of the mentoring program. A $500 donation will allow two students to participate in the annual African American History Challenge.
Table Grace Ministries: A $70 donation provides 7 meals.
Czech and Slovak Educational Center and Cultural Museum: A $50.00 donation preserves and promotes Czech and Slovak cultures.
The Durham Museum: A $25 donation underwrites the digitization of 25 historic negatives for the museum’s online photo archive. A $50 donation will outfit the museum’s classroom spaces with a month’s worth of supplies to be used by local scout troops, youth organizations and school groups. A $100 donation will support one hour of restoration work (plus materials) on Union Station’s original terra cotta floor.
Nebraska Civic Engagement Table: A $25 donation supports an hour of community outreach to inform people about local opportunities for civic engagement.
Calvin Crest Camp: A $100 donation will make partial scholarship possible.
Blue Bucket Project: A $35 donation provides 1 litter kit.
Methodist Hospital Foundation: A $15 donation will make a "storybook" NICU reading program possible.
NCS Hope Foundation: A $100 donation will make transportation to treatment from out of town possible for one cancer patient and their caregiver.
Educare of Omaha: A $25 donation provides enough baby wipes for an infant-toddler classroom for 1 month. A $100 donation provides one month of art materials, books and other lesson supplies for an early childhood classroom.
Hands, Hearts and Paws: A $15 donation will make a difference in spaying/neutering every dog in their care.
Sheltering Tree: A $100 donation will make an activity session possible.
MAC Foundation: A $50 donation will make a training session for aspiring entrepreneurs possible.
Center for Holistic Development: A $25.00 donation will make snacks available for the afterschool REAL Talk session in the elementary school. A $250 donation will provide a mental health evaluation with a professional mental health counselor.
Everyday Science and Science Support: A $1200 donation will make one of the signature programs possible to an afterschool program for 6 weeks.
Nebraskans for the Arts: A $100 donation will help support the NebraskARTS award and Student Spotlight recognizing outstanding fine arts programs and students excelling in the arts in our K-12 schools.
Theatre Arts Guild: A $50.00 donation will cover all operating expenditures for one month. A $500.00 donation will provide a scholarship to an individual attending college for the arts.
Make-a-Wish Foundation: A $100 donation will help make local wishes come true.
Child Saving Institute: For less than $1 a day, you can provide life-saving care to a local teen. $500 provides one month of mental health therapy sessions for an uninsured or underinsured client.
Ironhawk Juniors Triathlon Club: A $50 donation purchases a helmet, shoes or a swimsuit for a participant.
North Omaha Area Health Clinic: A $30 donation will provide a patient access to healthcare, medication and treatment.
Child Evangelism Fellowship: A $50 donation will provide supplies for a Christmas Party at a local school or daycare.
Dreamweaver Foundation: A $35 donation will purchase a memory book for Dreamers, so they can have a keepsake of their bucket list wish.
Charles Drew Health Center: A $2 donation per week will support six (6) sessions with a CDHC Behavioral Health Therapist for an uninsured patient.
