Ironhawk Juniors Triathlon Club
Ironhawk Juniors Triathlon (IHJ) engages the youth of our community in physical fitness through a FREE triathlon training program. IHJ inspires our youth to get moving and accomplish what seems impossible. We make it a priority to be an ethnically, economically and physically diverse youth organization, to always be kind, and to create a positive from a negative. We provide all equipment that is needed in order to participate - swimsuits, bikes, helmets, shoes, and anything needed during the weekly program. We meet Thursdays during the months of June and July. The 7 week program of swimming, biking, and running also includes team-building activities and weekly snacks. The Final Event is a triathlon followed with a celebration to recognize the accomplishments that our participants completed over the summer. The Ironhawk Juniors Triathlon Club was created in 2018 to build confidence and empower girls 7-14 years old. The Program could not exist without the support of our Volunteers. Please consider joining us for, what you will find to be, a very rewarding experience. And, on the plus side - you get to be outside. No running, biking or swimming experience required to volunteer for the program.
- We have taught 300+ kids how to swim and/or ride a bike and 500+ Juniors have completed a triathlon.
- We have given away over 100 swimsuits, 500 helmets, 200 bikes, 100 pairs of running shoes.
- We provide free equipment to all of our participants who otherwise would not be able to join (swimsuits, bikes, helmets, shoes).
