#GivingEveryTuesday: Employment
Each Tuesday, SHARE Omaha features a unique cause theme for #GivingEveryTuesday and encourages our community to give and support in any way we can! This week's #GivingEveryTuesday theme is Employment. Today is a great day give a gift to further local efforts to support Employment!
It's All About Employment
Kelly Adams of It's All About Employment shares, "The reason that it is important for people to donate to nonprofits that provide employment support is because we all are trying to help those who are disadvantaged, or underserved, become a productive member of society."
It’s All About Employment works with individuals who are trying to end the cycle of homelessness and substance abuse. By providing them with the tools to get the support they need or directing them to an organization that can help, it provides the first step in becoming employment ready and finding meaningful employment.
"We have started a day labor program for those trying to earn money while they are getting ready for long term employment, through a lawn care service and miscellaneous odd jobs. By hiring us to provide this service, it will help them in their ability to become ready to get back on their feet. And of course you can always donate cash. We will not be offended," says Kelly.
