What We Do

A proud affiliate of the National Urban League, a historic nonprofit forged in an era when Black Americans still lacked basic Civil Rights, the mission of Urban League of Nebraska (ULN) is to be an empowering voice in the community, advocating for economic self-reliance, parity, power, civil rights, and equal opportunity for all.

Urban League of Nebraska serves people of all ages, providing hope and opportunity through our three core areas: school, work, and community.  From after-school programming, scholarship, and college planning to career readiness workshops, school-based attendance programs, monthly career fairs, and community referrals, we impact thousands of Omahans annually.

We also have a Young Professionals Group and Guild, which support the mission of the Urban League of Nebraska and our activities.
