SHARE Omaha turns 4 years old! Send a card?

On Tuesday, January 17, 2023, SHARE Omaha turned 4 years old!

Over the past 4 years, we've been honored to help you find and support the local causes that matter to you. Thank you for allowing us to help you do good and give back.

Now, it's time to celebrate!

For our 4th birthday we have a humble request, not birthday cards for us, but rather cards of encouragement for our community.

STEP 1: Pick a nonprofit

MLK Day is Monday, January 16, 2023!

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day is Monday, January 16th in the Greater Omaha metro!

This is the time to celebrate, commemorate and honor the life, legacy and impact of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Whether you give your time on Monday, January 16th, give a financial gift, or celebrate in your own way at your own time, thank you for joining in this moment.

SHARE Omaha and SHARE Iowa celebrate the generosity of the metro

Here at SHARE Omaha, alongside our partners at SHARE Iowa, we are celebrating the generosity of our region on Giving Tuesday. You raised over $4.2 million dollars for our local nonprofits! In addition, you gave to nonprofits that were new-to-you, more than 1,800 times. The nonprofits you supported also recruited over one hundred new volunteers and received over 27,000 wish list items.

Giving Tuesday through the lens of the Intern

This blog was guest written by Robert Badura, Giving Tuesday intern

I have had a blast working with SHARE Omaha as their Giving Tuesday Intern this past semester, learning valuable skills and working towards strengthening my community through positive work. This was my first Giving Tuesday, and I am glad that I was able to spend it highlighting the meaning of generosity and what it means to give back.

Ambassadors for Giving Tuesday lead with joy

For the first time ever, a group of local Giving Tuesday Ambassadors are prepping to hit the streets on November 29th! These kind-hearted folks have spent the last few weeks asking themselves what they care about, what change they want to see, and what they can do to move the metro forward this Giving Tuesday. It’s been inspiring to hear about what led them to choose their projects!

Share With Us!

We have so much great news to share from our nonprofit partners about their amazing work. But, we'd love to hear from you. Let us know if you have stories you'd like to tell and we'll make you a guest blogger!!
