Stories

Some call it stories. Others call it a blog. But here you will find nuggets of goodness to use and -- you guessed it -- SHARE!

Volunteer Voices: Jonathan, North Omaha Good News Bears

This is our eighth installment of Volunteer Voices, a vlog where we take a few minutes to hear from a valued volunteer in our community. Imagine being a member of the tutoring crew for the North Omaha Good News Bears Club on Thursdays after school. If Jonathan's words resonate with you, consider volunteering and raising your hand to join in as well.

The North Omaha Good News Bears is a faith-based Kids Club created to provide a positive influence in the lives of at risk youth. They serve children 4 – 17 years of age through tutoring and mentoring programs, field trips, summer and fall camps, positive role models, rewards based recognition for moral and academic excellence, parent conferences and nutritious meals. They have fun. They encourage the children to finish elementary school strong, middle school strong and high school strong thus preparing them for the next level.
