Committed to addressing local hunger needs: Omaha Steaks
Do Good Days is the time to do good, give good and celebrate all the good that is happening in the greater Omaha/Council Bluffs metro! And we call it like we see it: Omaha Steaks is championing hunger needs and making good things happen.
For over 100 years, Omaha Steaks has been all about bringing people together. This mission extends beyond their core business of the gourmet foods you know and love shaping the way Omaha Steaks and its team members are working to address hunger needs in our region.
Through their community partnerships, passion for volunteering, and delicious donated products, Omaha Steaks is actively working to get food into the hands of those who need it most. Fighting food insecurity has always been one of Omaha Steak’s primary giving pillars and a cause their family owners, the Simon Family, and entire team is especially passionate about. In the past twelve months, Omaha Steaks has donated $1M in product to the Food Bank for the Heartland, who then disperses the items to their network partners across Nebraska and Western Iowa. Additionally, the company has made significant contributions to arts organizations, veterans, military and first responders, and the Omaha-metro community.
“At Omaha Steaks, we understand there’s a growing need for quality proteins in the fight against food insecurity. One of our core giving priorities is supporting our communities by donating quality protein that may not otherwise be available,” said Todd Simon, fifth-generation family owner of Omaha Steaks. “With rising costs at the grocery store, families are struggling to put food on the table, and we feel it’s more important than ever to lend a helping hand and provide high-quality food to families in need.”
