Latino Economic Development Council (LEDC) cultivates an environment that fosters economic growth and enhances the quality of life for the Latino community in Omaha.

  • Grant Writer – Help develop and write grant requests for donations and sponsorships.

 

Omaha Parks Foundation conserves and enhances our city’s parks and green spaces. Recognizing that the parks system is vital to improving the lives of ALL Omaha residents, enhancing economic development, and encouraging healthy lifestyles.

  • Volunteer in the Parks - From fun recreation events to park clean-up and improvement projects there are numerous ways to offer your service.

 

Spark believes in the power of community and helps transform disinvested neighborhoods into thriving and prosperous communities.

  • North Omaha Trail Cleanup - Help maintain the beauty of the North Omaha trails and ensure they are safe and accessible for everyone to enjoy.

 

Keep Kids Alive Drive makes streets safer for all who walk, cycle, play, drive, and ride.

  • #SafeRoadsForRogi - Help spread safe-driving messages via your social media, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Next Door, and more.

 

inCOMMON Community Development strives to alleviate poverty at a root level by uniting and strengthening vulnerable neighborhoods. They partner with neighbors to strengthen vulnerable neighborhoods so that every child has the chance to grow up in a safe, thriving, and opportunity-rich environment.

  • Citizenship Tour - Help students prepare to take their naturalization exam through small group and one-on-one virtual tutoring.

 

Global Leadership Group is restoring North 24th Street to a place where strong families live, vibrant businesses thrive and beautiful neighborhoods grow. They host monthly cleanups, a community garden and community service workshops.

South Omaha Neighborhood Alliance enhances South Omaha neighborhoods through communication, collaboration, empowerment and promoting positive perceptions. Monthly meetings include guest speakers that share invaluable community information from public resources to community events to business plans.

  • Co-Secretary – Attend monthly General and Leadership Team meetings, record meeting minutes, and assist with events.

 

Keep Omaha Beautiful fosters environmental and community stewardship through education, service, and advocacy.

  • Litter Cleanups – Pick up litter in local parks, trails, and neighborhoods throughout Omaha.

 

Abide revitalizes the inner city, one neighborhood at a time through a holistic approach that focuses on developing safer neighborhoods, stronger families, and emerging leaders.

 

Yates Illuminates is a neighborhood place where a collaborative of social, cultural, and educational nonprofits come together to serve new American and native Nebraskans to uplift every person's possibilities.

  • Front Desk – Welcome visitors, answer questions, and direct them to the right services and resources.

 

Habitat for Humanity of Omaha works to eliminate substandard housing by providing low-to-moderate income families with opportunities to successfully achieve and maintain homeownership while improving the safety, appearance and value of neighborhoods.

  • Construction/Build Volunteer- Help make the dream of decent, affordable housing a reality for all our neighbors in Omaha. Assist with every aspect of the build from framing, and siding, to finishing and cleaning up.
