Habitat for Humanity of Omaha builds strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter serving Douglas, Sarpy, Washington, Burt and Cass Counties in Nebraska. Habitat Omaha works to eliminate substandard housing by providing low-to-moderate income families with opportunities to successfully achieve and maintain homeownership while improving the safety, appearance and value of neighborhoods. Habitat Omaha partners with families to ease the burden of housing insecurity and create a clear path to owning a home or repairing a home.
Since 1984, Habitat Omaha has completed hundreds of homes and directly impacted the lives of thousands of local families by providing a hand-up not a hand-out. Habitat Omaha partners with low-to-moderate income families who purchase their homes at full cost and complete up to 200 hours of sweat equity.
