What We Do

We exist to cultivate an environment that fosters economic growth and enhances the quality of life for the Latino community in Omaha.

With a vision to foster a thriving community, LEDC focuses on three key areas:

  • Workforce Development
  • Culture and Tourism
  • Latino Leadership Influence

LEDC is focused on economic empowerment within the South Omaha Business Improvement District, creating a positive ripple effect on Nebraska’s economy.

  • Transforming Plaza de la Raza: We will break ground on the Adelante project, making it a beacon for economic growth & future development of the SO BID
  • LEDC up until now has been fully volunteered run and in 2024 we will increase capacity by hiring full time staff
  • Staying close to our mission of supporting the growing Latino community we will collaborate with other immigrant serving nonprofits
