Skutt Catholic High School’s mission is to form and educate young men and women to become Christian leaders who empower others, promote justice and initiate change. One way that Skutt Catholic fulfills this mission is through its annual Community Involvement Day. Coincidentally, this spring’s Community Involvement Day falls during Do Good Days. What perfect timing to get students out doing good during National Volunteer Week!

SHARE Omaha and SHARE Iowa are looking to grow volunteerism during Do Good Days on April 19-22, 2023. The two organizations’ year-round community efforts have been instrumental in helping nonprofits across the region with financial support, fulfilling wish lists and recruiting volunteers.

This is our sixth installment of Volunteer Voices, a vlog where we take a few minutes to hear from a valued volunteer in our community! Let’s take a minute to brush the surface and learn more about the work of Nebraska Mission of Mercy.

Simply stated, the Nebraska Mission of Mercy program provides free dental care to the uninsured, the under-insured population. 

“Oral health is such a critical piece for people's lives. A lot of disease starts in the mouth. When we can promote oral health and education, it can be a life changing experience,” says Pat Mueller, Nebraska Mission of Mercy executive director.
