Shop for Good: Partnership 4 Hope
"Everything we do here is trying to connect those dots to make sure our young people are supported and can do the things they want to and need to do. They have a really strong desire to make significant strides in their lives and they just need a little bit of help here are there, " shares Morgan, Youth Mart manager at Partnership 4 Hope.
Partnership 4 Hope (P4Hope) enlists and empowers mentors who will partner with young adult former foster youths on their journey toward independence. P4Hope joins a collaboration of agencies in serving these youth as they move into apartments, providing the Truck Brigade on a weekly basis helping provide and deliver furniture for their first apartments. P4Hope also runs and manages Youth Mart, a free shopping center for young adults aging out of foster care or recently aged out. The center accepts furniture, household items, gently used clothes for ages 18-26, diapers and baby essentials, hygiene items, etc.
