"10% of individuals in our community are diabetic, so there is a huge need. Our goal is that anyone who is diabetic can monitor their blood sugar and know what's happening," Lorie, Dear Diabetes.
Dear Diabetes was formed to assist individuals impacted by diabetes, regardless of their diagnosis: Type 1, Type 2, MODY, Gestational. Diabetes has become an epidemic and individuals with diabetes have medical bills 2 - 3 times higher than the average person. Additionally, lower income individuals are impacted by diabetes at a higher rate.
Their goal is to educate, raise awareness, and provide resources to these individuals. Diabetes Education, Awareness, and Resources.
