How to support the Midwest’s largest employer of the blind and visually impaired
Outlook Nebraska, the largest employer of the blind and visually impaired in a seven-state region, provides anyone dealing with vision loss resources to stay independent. Opportunities to join Outlook Nebraska in fulfilling their mission are not only impactful but uniquely fun!
Here are a few ways you can help visually impaired teens take part in fun activities or guide adults in doing something for the first time.
Batter up! Are you a baseball player, baseball coach or baseball team?
Come team up with blind and low vision teenagers for a game of beep baseball. With beeping balls, beeping bases and your help, it will be a ball.
One time, 5-hour commitment, on Saturday, April 18. Sign up here.

In the spring and summer, Outlook Nebraska transports tandem bikes to and from public ride events. Outlook Nebraska is looking for a friend with a lower bed moving truck equipped with a ramp to help move gear a couple of times a month from May - September. Connect with Outlook Nebraska.

2. Bike in tandem!
Experienced bikers, individuals or groups are needed to partner with blind or low vision bikers. Sighted captains are crucial in making Outlook Nebraska’s Blind Tandem Bike program go ‘round. Ride one Saturday or Sunday a month starting in May until the leaves fall. Join the Owl Ride, Corporate Cycling Challenge, Bike for Sight, Ride to Taste of Omaha and a Taco Ride.2-3 hour commitment per ride. Sign up here.
3. Have a moving truck?
