Volunteer in style: Roaring 20s Gala volunteers needed!

Omaha Home for Boys is celebrating a century of service by taking it back to the Roaring 20s when it all began! Grab your glad rags and sign up to volunteer for the 100 Year Anniversary Celebration. It's a festive evening complete with 1920s themed cocktails and costumes, live music from The Diamond Empire Band, a speakeasy, casino games, a photo booth, a Model-T, dinner, auction and more. It’s going to be the bee’s knees!

The event will be held at the Embassy Suites in LaVista on November 8, 2019,  and a number of volunteer opportunities are available for both individuals and small groups. Dinner will be provided for all volunteers.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:

Registration/Check-Out Volunteers
(Arrival time at Embassy Suites - LaVista – 3:30 p.m.)
  • One Cause will conduct an on-site training before the event. You will register guests as they arrive ensuring that we have a cell phone number and email address to be used for electronic bidding.

Restaurant Tree Volunteers
(Arrival time at Embassy Suites - LaVista – 5 p.m.)
  • Collect money from guests. Guests will pull an envelope from the envelope tree.

Silent Auction Table Volunteers
(Embassy Suites - LaVista - Approximately 8 p.m.)
  • At the completion of the silent auction, items will be placed in numbered bags and put in numerical order on the auction tables. Volunteers will wrap signage in shrink-wrap and clean area.

Silent Auction Runners
(Following event – approximately 8:30 p.m.)
  • Guests will come to the silent auction pick-up tables with a “paid” invoice. You will gather each of the numbered auction item(s) purchased by our guests. Training will be provided on-site the night of the event
