As givers, we don't always know how our donations of items will make someone smile. This is just one example of how a gift made one young girl's day a little brighter.

Project Harmony Child Advocacy Center's receptionist, Pam, noticed a young girl in her waiting room - the center offers services related to child abuse - was about to celebrate a birthday.  She asked the child what she wanted for her birthday. She told Pam, she wanted a Barbie car. 

Pam remembered there was a brand new (still in the box) Barbie car with Barbies included, donated to Project Harmony. Pam and team found the car and presented it to the young girl after her appointment. The young client was so happy and overwhelmed, she thanked, cried and hugged Pam repeatedly. Foster mom was in tears, too. To further add to the moment, the client’s sister went to the toy closet after her own interview and gave her comfort item to her sister, too. This is one example of the impact made through a generous donation – providing hope and healing.

Project Harmony also invites you to join them for an exciting opportunity to make a difference on National Be Someone Day! They've come up with a fun and interactive way to encourage everyone to participate and help children and families in need – a virtual game of bingo, designed to make giving a fun experience for everyone at home or in the office.

In this unique bingo game, the bingo card showcases the top 24 most needed items from Project Harmony's wish list, with the high-priority ones boldly highlighted. Your task is to collect these items and mark them off on your bingo card.

On National Be Someone Day, which falls on Friday, July 21, Project Harmony will celebrate our community's generosity. Simply drop off the collected items and your completed bingo card to Project Harmony between 8 am and 5 pm. By doing so, you’ll earn a chance to spin the prize wheel. You may also purchase directly from Amazon and have your items shipped.

And here’s an extra challenge: If you manage to purchase all the items on the bingo card and achieve a blackout bingo, you’ll receive an even larger prize! So let’s come together, play along, and together, we can make an even greater impact in the lives of children and their families – providing hope and healing.
