Some call it stories. Others call it a blog. But here you will find nuggets of goodness to use and -- you guessed it -- SHARE!

SHARE Omaha to recruit new community volunteers at the YP Summit

The Greater Omaha Chamber's YP Summit challenges the way you think, provides you with new tools and inspires you to put them into action. One of the new tools available to the metro?

On March 15th at the the 2019 YP Summit, SHARE Omaha will engage with Summit attendees in the pre-function space. Attendees will use to initiate positive, community-enhancing change. Attendees who pledge to participate in a SHARE Omaha volunteer opportunity during April’s (do)GOOD month will receive a free tee while supplies last.

This all-in effort to recruit skills-based volunteers would not be possible without the Greater Omaha Chamber Young Professionals who have launched their own online initiative in this past year to share engagement opportunities for young professionals in Omaha at their website — Their Online Engagement Directory is open to all organizations — nonprofit or not — to post their opportunities for young professionals to engage the community, including, but not limited to, volunteering and serving on boards, committees, etc. We at SHARE Omaha support their initiative and together we are grateful for this chance to reach those who have so much to give — including young professionals.

The metro has an innate desire to serve our local nonprofit organizations. Let's use (do)GOOD month to nudge all to start a new volunteering journey now. The (do)GOOD campaign is an opportunity to lift up and spread the excitement of the passionate volunteers who give tirelessly.

Commit to volunteer in April.

Together, we will see the needs of the metro and do something. We will (do)GOOD.
