Military Family Appreciation Month: Wounded Warriors Family Support
November was first declared as Military Family Month in 1996. Since then, November has been a time to acknowledge the tremendous sacrifices our military families make. They contend with separation from their families and make adjustments to new living situations and communities.
Wounded Warriors Family Support provides support to the families of those who have been wounded, injured or killed during combat operations. The families of casualties suffer in many ways: some physically, some psychologically. They service US Military Veteran Families in the Greater Omaha community with a number of programs and partner with other nonprofits with similar missions and goals.
