Guest blog: CQuence Health Invests in Community Impact in Omaha and Beyond
This blog is guest-written by Mike Cassling, CEO of CQuence Health
I want to share a few thoughts about why CQuence Health is enthusiastic about being a Collective Impact Lead Sponsor for SHARE Omaha’s Giving Tuesday.
At CQuence Health, we work every single day to help healthcare companies make a positive impact on patient outcomes. This passion is deeply ingrained in everything we do. We are committed to service –to our employees, to our customers and to our communities.
As a Nebraskan and current Omaha resident, my hometown will always remain close to my heart. This is true for so many of our team members. Yet we seek to strengthen the health and wellbeing of not just the Omaha metro, but of all the communities around the country our team members are a part of. One way we do this is by encouraging our employees and their family members to give back and support ALL the neighborhoods in which we work, live and do business, Omaha included.
As part of our commitment to service, we formed our corporate responsibility initiative, CQ Cares, in 2007. CQ Cares organizes quarterly volunteer opportunities for our employees, giving them easy, accessible ways to lend their time and talents in service of their communities.

To further empower our employees to give back, we offer volunteer time off (VTO) as a key benefit. All CQ employees are given 8 hours each year to dedicate to community service activities. Our employees have used VTO for youth mentoring, Salvation Army bell-ringing, preparing meals for the Ronald McDonald House, and organizing and volunteering in community runs, golf tournaments and assorted other fundraisers, just to name a few. VTO is a unique and valuable perk that enriches the lives of our employees and their families and helps us do good in the community beyond our support of innovative healthcare companies.
Our passion for serving others and giving back aligns with SHARE Omaha’s commitment to connecting neighbors, families and businesses to local nonprofits, which is why we are proud to support Giving Tuesday 2023 in the Omaha metro area.
I invite you to join CQuence Health employees between now and the end of the year in giving back to your community. Connect to a nonprofit serving a cause you care about, discover a new way to volunteer, or donate any dollars or resources you can spare to make our region an even better place to live.
Even small contributions can make a big difference, and that’s part of what SHARE Omaha is all about. When we all band together toward a common good, the difference we can make in our community is exponential. I’m honored to work alongside so many charitable, driven people at CQuence and throughout Omaha, and I can’t wait to see the impact that I know so many of you will make in the coming weeks and months.
