Core Bank is donating dollars and diapers as part of Omaha’s Giving Tuesday generosity

Core Bank is partnering with SHARE Omaha as the presenting sponsor of #GivingTuesday402 with a diaper drive beginning Nov. 1 and encouraging Omahans to donate dollars for diapers.

As a locally owned bank, Core Bank has deep roots in the community, which is why the team is working to create a better future for local families on Giving Tuesday.

In partnership with Nebraska Diaper Bank, the Core Bank diaper drive begins November 1 and runs through November 28. During the month, donors can drop off diapers at any of the five Core Bank locations: 17807 Burke St., 12100 W Center Rd., 13220 Birch Dr., 16805 Q St. in Omaha and 11305 Cumberland Dr. in Papillion.

“Nebraska Diaper Bank is excited to partner with Core Bank for their second annual diaper drive leading up to Giving Tuesday,” said Anna Lehotyak, development director at the Nebraska Diaper Bank. “Diaper need affects over 13,000 babies in the Greater Omaha area.”

The community can also support the drive by donating dollars for diapers via text, a new option this year. Givers can text the word DIAPERS to 402-383-0997 to contribute. At the end of the drive on November 29 — Giving Tuesday —Core Bank will be at the Nebraska Diaper Bank, 9100 F St. in Omaha, wrapping and organizing the diaper donations for distribution.

Nebraska Diaper Bank currently distributes about 140,000 diapers to the community each month, according to Lehotyak.

“Community drives are vital to our operations,” she said. “We are so grateful to Core Bank for helping us provide the comfort of clean, dry diapers to babies in our community.”

“Core Bank is all in — with our dollars and with our service — for the good of the Omaha metro. Please join us on November 29 as our hearts and hands do all we can for one another,” said Tami Matousek from Core Bank.
