What We Do

The Nebraska Humane Society protects, saves and enriches the lives of animals in the communities we serve. We love dogs, cats, horses and all animals. A lot. We shelter them when no one else will and lavish them with kindness and dignity until they find their forever homes or are reunited with their families. YOU are the help that becomes their hope; whether you volunteer, take a training class, send your children to camp, adopt or donate!

Interesting Info

More than 24,000 dogs, cats, horses, critters, barn buddies and wildlife make their way through our doors each year.
In 2019, 10,319 pets were adopted into their forever homes.
Nearly 3,000 lost pets are reconnected with their families each year.
