What We Do
The Nebraska Humane Society protects, saves and enriches the lives of animals in the communities we serve. We love dogs, cats, horses and all animals. A lot. We shelter them when no one else will and lavish them with kindness and dignity until they find their forever homes or are reunited with their families. YOU are the help that becomes their hope; whether you volunteer, take a training class, send your children to camp, adopt or donate!
Funding is critical to saving lives. Resources are being diverted in response to COVID-19. Temporary pet shelter and medical care will be provided (no charge) to pet owners, who are ill and unable to care for their pets. NHS is committed to ensuring owners do not face heart- wrenching decisions to give up loved members of their families. We could shelter up to 400 pets. Your help becomes their hope.
