What We Do

COVID-19 Update: ISC is continuing food pantry services for adults at 50+ although our daily programs and activities have been suspended. Your monetary donations will help keep this vital service available to isolated, vulnerable older adults.

We are accepting donations of non-perishable food and hygiene products to be distributed: rice, dried beans, canned fruits and vegetables, soups, low-sugar cereal, tea, etc. Items can be dropped off at 5545 Center Street between 8 am and 4 pm, Monday through Friday. If you prefer, you can call 402-444-6529 from your car and a staff member will come to you to collect items.
*******************************************

At the Intercultural Senior Center, we believe that all elders deserve dignity, wellness, and the opportunity to share their talents and wisdom with others.

Many seniors in our community, in particular immigrant and refugee seniors, have physical and mental health, education, emotional, and legal needs that go unmet. They are isolated by poverty, language and cultural barriers, and limited transportation options. ISC actively welcomes seniors from around the world with culturally-appropriate, high-quality services and programs.

Our mission is to improve the dignity, quality of life and physical well-being of seniors from here and around the world through advocacy, education, access to social services, and cultural enrichment activities that benefit the entire community. Our services include transportation, life-long learning, exercise classes, nutritious lunches, social services, cultural enrichment activities, monthly food pantry, and more.
