Shop for Good: Restoring Dignity
When you "shop for good," you are buying the exact items nonprofits need to carry out their missions in the greater Omaha area.
Restoring Dignity is bringing lasting change and hope to local refugees. At the heart of their work is the belief that something can and should be done to meet the needs of Omaha’s refugee community through empowerment, education, and advocacy partnerships.
One way you can support their work is by... shopping for good!
Summer youth volunteering opportunities and events!
Summer break is finally here! Now is the perfect time for kids to take part in volunteering across our community. Kids: not only will you be helping important local nonprofits, but you'll be almost guaranteed to grow personally, learning about empathy and building your sense of community.
An inside look: Volunteering at No More Empty Pots
Last week I spent an afternoon volunteering at No More Empty Pots for the first time. My review? This is a 10 out of 10, must try opportunity!
The mission of No More Empty Pots is to connect individuals and groups to improve self-sufficiency, regional food security and economic resilience of urban and rural communities through advocacy and action. They support communities in becoming self-sufficient and food secure through a systems approach to solutions.
