What We Do

No More Empty Pots connects individuals and groups to improve self-sufficiency, regional food security and economic resilience of urban and rural communities through advocacy and action so there will be "no more empty pots"!

NMEP supports communities in becoming self-sufficient and food secure through a systems approach to solutions, collaboration and adherence to our core values of:

1) Education of Consumers, Producers and Our Youth
2) Stewardship of Land Use and Community Resources
3) Sustainability of the Triple Bottom Line: People, Planet and Profit

Your gift during Do Good Week can help in the following ways:

$28 sponsors the production and delivery of 4 plant-based meals prepared with local ingredients to neighbors.

$100 sponsors the production and delivery of 4 boxes of locally sourced produce to neighbors.

Food access programs distributed 50,149 meals and 3,765 boxes of produce in 2020. 88% of purchased food was sourced from local producers and food artisans.
1,293 neighbors in 2020 received 586 hours of agriculture and culinary educational programming in partnership with over 20 community-based partners.
16 local food entrepreneurs received access to workshops, mentorship and networking through Incubator Membership launched in 2020.
