KVC Nebraska is a private, nonprofit organization that provides a variety of programs and services to meet the diverse needs of youth, families and adults throughout Nebraska. Our mission is to enrich and enhance the lives of Nebraska families.
KVC Nebraska offers foster care, home-based support for people with disabilities, intensive in-home preservation to keep families safely together, reunification services for families reuniting after foster care, outpatient child and family therapy, education support services for youth departing foster care, substance use evaluations and intensive outpatient substance abuse treatment to over a thousand children, families and adults every year.
We recruit, train, license and support foster families, providing care for more than 1,000 children and adolescents. KVC also raises funds privately to underwrite a bi-annual Resource Family Conference where approximately 600 resource parents, children and volunteers come together to learn from, and be inspired by national speakers and experts, network and enjoy fun family activities.
Every person deserves kindness, connection and support. KVC staff provide ongoing support to families, youth in foster care and their families, and individuals placed in services including 24/7 crisis support, continuing education programs, mentoring coordination, community support groups, one-on-one training, and educational programs and publications.
