KVC Nebraska

Volunteers are being recruited to serve on the 13th Annual Kids Classic Golf Tournament to be held on September 19, 2025. Volunteers will assist with the planning and execution of KVC Nebraska's annual golf tournament by contributing skills to the event strategy, recruitment of players and sponsors, and day-of operations.  The golf tournament planning committee is a group of people who work together to ensure a successful golf tournament. 

Planning Committee members focus on one of three areas:

1. Sponsorships: Develop sponsorship plans, refine sponsorship levels, identify potential sponsors, and secure sponsorships outside of other KVC Nebraska events.
2. In-Kind Donations: Secure donations for the raffle, auction, games, and swag bags; target new and past donors outside of other KVC Nebraska events.
3. Golfer Recruitment: Retain past participants and recruit new golfers to fill a field of 144.

Additional Tasks:

• On-Course Games: Collaborate on ideas, balancing revenue-generating and awareness-raising activities.
• Event Agenda: Help plan the event schedule for golfers, sponsors, and volunteers. KVC staff will oversee time management on event day.

Meetings:

• Held monthly starting in January 2025, then bi-monthly from May, 2025 until the tournament.
• Communication continues via email between meetings.

Qualifications:

• Must be 21 + and complete an interview with the Development Director
• Prior golf tournament experience or event planning is preferred.
• Seeking business people with contacts outside of KVC Nebraska's network, thereby opening avenues to secure more sponsors. 

Ideal candidate is someone with ties in with the local community and comfortable selling sponsorships.
