We need volunteers to go inside prisons with RISE!
In-Prison Program Milestone Events are a 5-8 hour time commitment taking place inside one of five Nebraska Department of Corrections (NDCS) facilities.
In-Prison Program Coaching Days are typically held at the three-month mark of curriculum completion. RISE staff and NDCS-approved community volunteers spend a full day inside the prison facility with program participants going over resumes, cover letters, personal statements, mock interviews, and business ideations.
In-Prison Program Business Pitch Competitions and Graduations are held roughly six-months from the beginning of a RISE cohort and celebrate the completion of programming. Volunteers spend a full day inside the prison facility with program participants and judge a business pitch competition, provide feedback, and vote on pitch competition winners. Volunteers also help celebrate this milestone acheivement.
Lunch, coffee, water, and snacks provided.
