Partnership 4 Kids

Support pre-kindergarten through fifth-grade students by reinforcing reading, life skills, and attendance. Visit with students in their classrooms, building a long-term relationship for lifelong success. Volunteer training and support are provided. In pre-kindergarten through 3rd grade, Book Buddies read a book aloud to two classrooms and conduct a reading comprehension activity with the students and help from the teachers. In 4th-5th grades, Goal Buddies help students achieve reading, life skills, and attendance benchmarks through goal setting: a powerful thinking process that turns ideas into realities and dreams into bright futures.

Program Commitment: One school year

Time Commitment: 1 hour (30 mins for each classroom), twice a month, September – June school year
