We are looking for someone to keep our staff and board updated on recent immigration and asylum changes. This position would require someone to look at credible reporting sites on a weekly basis and write a very short brief about any important changes in immigration or asylum policy changes that week. When there are weeks that no significant change have happened, we would like this person to write a short brief about an aspect of immigration or asylum law or policy that they believe is relevant/important/interesting.
The information that these briefs contain will be used primarily for keeping our ED, board and staff up to date on the latest developments in the immigration and asylum and creating social media posts to increase awareness and education among our audience.
People with varied levels of writing skills are encouraged to apply for this position. We need these briefs to be factually accurate but they can be casually written as the primary purpose is keeping people informed.
