Choice Food Distribution Program

Volunteers are essential to the operations of our Choice Food Distribution Program at the Heart Ministry Center. Last year Heart Ministry Center provided more than 5.1 million pounds of food to families in need across the Omaha metro.

Volunteers are needed to assist community members shop for shelf stable and fresh food items in our Eugene Williams Food Pantry and load the groceries into vehicles. Volunteers also help preparing express pantries, stocking shelves, and tidying up the pantry and warehouse space. 

We offer volunteer opportunities for individuals, families, corporate groups. schools, and other organizations to come for a one-time experience or a recurring volunteer shift.
