Sponsor a MENTAL HEALTH Bag of Fun and come to our office to pack it! When you sponsor a Mental Health Bag of Fun you are providing $250 worth of tools which are given to the child upon discharge from an inpatient treatment center. Each bag is similar and contains the same gender-neutral items such as a sweatshirt, blanket, hygiene kit, coloring books, fidget toys, brain teasers, thinking putty, a Warmie, a beanie, puzzles, art kits, journals and more. These tools go home with the child so that they can continue using the coping mechanisms they learned in the hospital. They are intended to calm, soothe and distract. Many of these bag recipients in transitional housing, thus the need for clothing and hygiene kits. Unlike much of the funding for mental health, which goes to the infrastructure of the hospital and programming for the staff and patients, when you support our program, it goes directly to the children right here in the community we serve.
When you schedule an opportunity for your corporation, dance team, church group, etc. to come out to our office to sponsor our program, you are helping children right here in our community!
