Omaha by Design

This summer, Omaha by Design will host its inaugural citywide event called Open Omaha to celebrate the fascinating spaces that make up the Greater Omaha metro. This type of event is a global phenomenon, and we are excited to bring it to our metro on August 6 & 7, 2022. Spread across up to 50 carefully chosen sites, we expect to welcome 5,000+ visitors in this behind-the-scenes look at many of the Omaha metro’s most captivating places and spaces. To empower this event, we are seeking 500+ volunteers to serve as greeters at sites located across the metro. The responsibilities of the Greeter include: • Welcoming guests and providing event information • Keep track of the number of attendees through clicker tracking • Support venue staff as needed with line management, etc • Answer questions about Open Omaha (a FAQ will be provided) Shifts are scheduled as two four-hour shifts available each day, with the option to participate for the entire day. The first shift is 9:30 am – 1:30 pm, with the second shift from 1:30 pm – 5:30 pm
