What We Do

YMCA of Greater Omaha serves the community by providing programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body FOR ALL. We do this through a focus on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.

From youth sports and swim lessons to fitness classes and community-based health programs, thousands of kids, families and seniors have life-changing experiences at the Y each year. Youth leave our programs with a stronger sense of self-confidence; adults improve their quality of life through achieving their health and wellness goals and seniors find friendship and connections outside of their home. The Y is HERE FOR GOOD.

At the Y, strengthening community is our cause and we are committed to making sure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. In 2021, the YMCA of Greater Omaha awarded over $1.1 million dollars in financial assistance to kids and families in need through the support of generous donors. By working together, we can ensure that the YMCA of Greater Omaha remains a special place for all members of our community.

We are here for our neighbors, for brighter futures, for character development, for hunger relief, for friendship, and for the long term. The YMCA of Greater Omaha is HERE FOR GOOD and so are our donors, volunteers, and community partners.

We invite you to make a life-impacting gift to our 2022 Strong Communities Campaign. A meaningful contribution to the Y builds community resilience and opportunity for all.
