What We Do

Every time a woman has the opportunity to become a leader, to earn enough money to support their family or to escape a violent relationship, our community becomes a little stronger and more vibrant. And we come a little closer to realizing our vision of a community where everyone has the opportunity to reach their full potential. Our work aligns with our values of equity, bold impact, collaboration, community voice, intersectionality and bodily autonomy.

  • A donation of $25.00 helps us to purchase books for askable adults and other educational trainings.
  • An investment of $50.00 supports our efforts to increase STI testing and treatment access throughout the Omaha metro.
  • A gift of $70.00 covers mileage for our advocacy team to meet with policymakers in Lincoln.
  • Your donation of $100.00 ensures domestic violence survivors have a safe place in an emergency situation.
  • Your generous gift of $215.00 helps us close the pay gap that has, on average, a woman earning only $785 for every $1,000 earned by a man in Nebraska.

Our Mission: The Women’s Fund addresses gender-based inequities in our community through collaboration that identifies, researches and creates solutions to advance, educate and fund lasting impact.

How We Discuss Gender: Women and girls includes anyone who identifies as a woman or girl. Our work, including funding and advocacy efforts, is inclusive of all individuals, including transgender and gender expansive people, that experience gender oppression.
