What We Do
United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) of Nebraska provides education, advocacy, grants and social programs to individuals and their families living in Nebraska with cerebral palsy and similar disorders.
Programs include:
Family Focus and Educational Programs
Family Focus is a series of events throughout the year designed to bring families facing similar challenges together and provide the opportunity to draw strength and knowledge, as well as relax and socialize. Educational programs vary in topic related to cerebral palsy and disability.
Tech Tools
Ten Developmental Technology Libraries are located statewide. These libraries offer a wide variety of adaptive technology and communication devices for all ages and abilities. The items are available for "check out" at no cost for up to four weeks. The libraries are open to families, professionals and other care providers to increase independence at home, school, work or in the community.
Client Assistance Grants
Offers limited grants to qualified families and individuals with disabilities to promote independence and encourage empowerment. This grant program helps with things such as purchasing adaptive equipment, removing barriers in the home, enhancement of mobility and providing scholarships for special programs like summer camp, sports programs and training.
Information and Referral
Information and referral is available for individuals with disabilities, their family, professionals and advocates throughout Nebraska.
