What We Do
Sleep In Heavenly Peace - Omaha/Council Bluffs is a local chapter of volunteers dedicated to building, assembling and delivering top-notch bunk beds to children and families in need. We fully believe that a bed is a basic need for the proper physical, emotional, and mental support that a child needs. When it was brought to our attention that the need for beds went far beyond our own neighborhoods, we stepped up and took initiative.
Interesting Info
- The Omaha SHP chapter started in 2018. In the past 5 years we have provided beds to over 2200 kids.
- SHP has analyzed the number of bed requests from the areas we serve and has concluded that approximately 3% of children age 3-17 are sleeping without beds.
- We believe that No Kid Should Sleep On The Floor In Our Town!
