What We Do

Parkinson’s Nebraska is dedicated to improving the quality of life for people with Parkinson’s and their families living in Nebraska. Our primary focus is on increasing outreach and services to rural and under-served communities who face disparities and barriers to quality care and specialized services such as education, exercise classes, and support groups. Our approach to achieving our mission is three-fold: ● Connect- We connect people with Parkinson’s to each other, to resources, and to their community. ● Collaborate- We collaborate with communities to provide tools and resources to help them develop meaningful Parkinson’s programs. ● Outreach- We increase awareness, education, and access to service through community outreach. It is through authentic connections, collaboration with local and national partners, and intentional outreach that we are able strengthen the statewide Parkinson's community and improve the lives of people living with Parkinson's disease in Nebraska. We are proud that specialized Parkinson's services and programs in Nebraska have quadrupled over the past two years! This was made possible through intentional outreach to the amazing providers and leaders across the state and collaborating with them to provide the tools and resources to meet the unique needs of their local communities.
