What We Do

Paralyzed Veterans of America - Great Plains Chapter - is dedicated to improving the quality of life for paralyzed veterans and other individuals living with disabilities. Our services include advocacy, veteran benefits, and sports and recreation. For over 50 years we have helped veterans with spinal cord injuries, as well as other individuals living with disabilities, across Nebraska, Western Iowa, and Kansas.

Interesting Info
  • Our organization was the first in Omaha to develop an adapted Crossfit program for wheelchair users and other people with physical disabilities.
  • We brought the Omaha Power Soccer Club to the Omaha Metro, giving children and adults who use power wheelchairs the chance to play a competitive team sport!
  • We have the only wheelchair bowling league in Omaha which led to a National tournament bringing bowlers from across the country - & Sweden! - to compete.
