What We Do

Omaha STEM Ecosystem (OSE) is a collective impact organization building a stronger STEM Community by connecting education and business development for tomorrow's workforce. The OSE is committed to identifying critical workforce skills, aligning curriculum content with careers of the future and providing access to high-quality STEM education programs for all community members in the Greater Omaha area and beyond. A healthy, vibrant community depends on a skilled and growing workforce. OSE and AIM Institute have worked together to build a free resource for the community called the STEM Community Platform, an online clearinghouse of information about program offerings, events, internships, career exploration and more. For more information on the STEM Community Platform or to add a resource, visit https://stemplatform.aiminstitute.org/.

Interesting Info
  • OSE currently has more than 1,400 members and over 62 community members that volunteer in the 5 committees.
  • The demand for STEM talent is increasing throughout the state of Nebraska as STEM occupations are projected to grow by 11% between 2020 and 2030 (NDOL, 2022)
  • In 2023, Omaha STEM Ecosystem instituted the STEM Connect Series, a four-part series dedicated to building the future workforce.
