Omaha Bridges Out of Poverty's mission is empowering under-resourced families to change their lives by discovering
and overcoming barriers to success.
Omaha Bridges is creating a safer, healthier, and more productive Omaha Metro Area by offering hope and practical tools for a better future. Our Getting Ahead classes, held quarterly in both English and Spanish, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity. Classes are provided free of charge throughout the community, with in-person sessions including meals in a family-style setting, fostering community and collaboration.
Graduates receive a stipend offering an immediate financial boost and gain access to Certified Life Skills Coaches, who provide ongoing, free coaching sessions to help overcome financial barriers and connect with educational and employment opportunities.
Each year, Omaha Bridges graduates between 300-400 individuals, who see measurable improvements in their monthly net income, debt-to-income ratio, and net assets, equipping them to handle future financial challenges. Since inception, we have impacted over 1,800 individuals, with over 50% of graduates reporting reduced stress levels after completing our programs.
