Nebraska Homeschool is here to encourage and support homeschool families through mentoring, collaboration, and resource networking. We mentor and support homeschool parents/families with students in PreK - 12th grade. We host a Scripps spelling bee, field trips, and picture days, create an area-wide homeschool yearbook, hold a charter for the National Home School Honor Society, and sponsor an annual Used Curriculum & Book Sale and Nebraska Homeschool Expo. We collaborate with other homeschool groups and nonprofits to secure a variety of educational opportunities and events such as sports, academic competitions, educational fairs, and graduation ceremonies for the homeschool community. We network with local businesses and agencies to find the best support resources and to ensure homeschooled students are included in other offerings such as community-based competitions, scholarship considerations, and leadership opportunities. Nebraska Homeschool is currently staffed by an all-volunteer force of homeschool parents committed in time and in heart to helping other Nebraska families.
- We currently serve over 1,200 families across Nebraska who are actively homeschooling or exploring the homeschool option.
- We collaborate with local, state, and national homeschool organizations to bring greater support to Nebraska families.
- We network with community programs to increase opportunities and awareness related to homeschooled students.
