What We Do

Mode Shift Omaha advocates for transportation equity. This includes walkable and accessible neighborhoods, safe cycling infrastructure and transit options for people to get to work and play. We also advocate for missing middle housing which makes strong transportation options viable, retains young people and allows elderly individuals to reside and thrive in our city.

With your support we can increase our impact engaging the public, influencing decisions about transportation and land use, and monitoring designs and projects.

Interesting Info

We are the only local non-profit focused on transportation equity, land use implications, and transparency in decision making.
We envision a community that isn't dependant on car ownership!
Our big goals are to see a city full of protected bike lanes, expanded ORBT options, ample and accessible sidewalks and more transparency in city government!
