What We Do
The Kamie K. Preston Hereditary Cancer Foundation is committed to saving the lives of individuals with cancer-causing hereditary genetic mutations. We are a community-centered organization working to educate and support families with hereditary cancer and the medical professionals that combat it.
Since 10-15% of all cancers are caused by genetic mutations passed from parent to child, the Kamie K. Preston Hereditary Cancer Foundation pays for genetic tests denied by insurance, Medicare and Medicaid. When patients know their risk of developing a disease they can take life-saving action including; surgeries, medications, more frequent screening, etc.
Interesting Info

The Kamie K Preston Hereditary Cancer Foundation launched in honor of Kamie Preston, who lost her battle with breast cancer in 2005.
Common hereditary cancers include breast, ovarian, prostate, pancreatic, gastric, colon, endometrial cancers and melanoma.
