What We Do
The Intergeneration Orchestra of Omaha (IGO) under the direction of Maestro Mark Benson combines volunteer musicians who are ages 25 and under with those who are 50 years of age and over. Each season there are approximately 60 musicians selected for the orchestra through spring auditions. The IGO's repertoire of pops music is shared with area nursing and retirement home residents monthly from September through April. An annual spring Pops & Pie fundraising concert is held each year during May.
