Husker Weim Rescue Inc

We are dedicated to rescuing Weimaraners, Weim mixes and any dog in trouble. We are completely funded by donations. Our volunteers have such a passion for Weimaraners and donations from wonderful people like you help us rescue, rehabilitate, attend to medical needs and find forever homes for them.

Our rescue is always in need of foster families.  Without foster families our rescue would not be able to function.  We do not have our own kenneling facilities which necessitates the rescue to have foster families willing to take a rescue dog into their home until a forever family is found.  During the fostering phase, the rescue dog is fully vetted, microchiped and socialized, if needed, while the foster family provides a loving secure environment.  All the needs of the foster dog are paid for by the rescue.  Both the family and the dog benefit from the arrangement.  The family is blessed with the knowledge they are helping to give the dog a better life and the rescue dog is given a safe and happy waystation while they await their forever home. It's a win, win.
