What We Do

The Great Plains Black History Museum is the only museum in Nebraska whose sole focus is on telling American history through the lens of African Americans. The mission of GPBHM is to preserve, educate, and exhibit the contributions and achievements of African Americans with an emphasis on the Great Plains region. To provide a space to learn, explore, reflect, and remind us of our history. We realize that the work of the GPBHM continues because of faithful supporters like you.
