What We Do

Girl Scouts is the preeminent leadership development organization for girls in the world, and Girl Scouts Spirit of Nebraska is the largest girl-serving organization in the state. Girl Scouts’ program focus areas are STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), Entrepreneurship, Like Skills, and Outdoor Experiences. All Girl Scout experiences incorporate three key indicators of leadership as defined by the Girl Scout Leadership Experience: * Discover: Girls understand themselves and their values and use their knowledge and skills to explore the world.  * Connect: Girls care about, inspire, and team with others locally and globally.  * Take Action: Girls act to make the world a better place.  Studies show Girl Scout attributes rival academic and technical skills in predicting positive life outcomes. Girl Scouts are happier, healthier, and less likely to engage in problem behaviors or be victimized. They achieve more academically and are more engaged in school. As adults, they become successful and well-adjusted women who employers want to hire.
