What We Do

Friends of Omaha Public Library (FOPL) is a grassroots volunteer organization dedicated to supporting and advocating for Omaha Public Library (OPL). Friends are supporters who take pride in their library and raise awareness to help support the Omaha Public Library.

Friends of Omaha Public Library (FOPL) raises funds primarily through donations and our volunteer-run book sales, held weekly and monthly on the lower level of the W. Clarke Swanson Branch at 90th & Dodge.  Our sales feature tens of thousands of books and other media, generously donated by the community or withdrawn from the library's collection.

We offer the lowest book prices in town with most paperback books at just $0.50 and hard cover books at $1.50!  Additionally, we boast an incredible collection of rare and valuable books, available for browsing both in-person and on-line.

Join us for our sales every Thursday from 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., and on the first Saturday of every month at the W. Clarke Swanson Branch, located at 9101 W. Dodge Rd. Omaha, NE 68114.
