The Friends of KIOS is a supporting foundation that is dedicated to the growth and improvement of KIOS-FM Omaha Public Radio. Since its beginnings in 1969 KIOS has served as an educational extension of the Omaha Public Schools providing programming that cannot be found on commercial radio. KIOS is the only place you can hear NPR news from around the globe as well as locally produced programming from right here in Omaha as well as programs sourced from American Public Media and Public Radio International. KIOS stands for the best in news, information, jazz, and entertainment. We are proud to be Omaha’s only NPR station since 1971. Find us at 91.5 FM or KIOS.org.
- Every year, KIOS broadcasts over 500 interviews with local organizations and individuals shaping where we live!
- KIOS was founded in 1969, and is a Charter Member of NPR 📻
- Omaha Public Radio will continue to serve our listeners, proud of our past while focusing on our future.
