What We Do
The Friends of the Agnes Robinson Waterloo Public Library promote literacy and lifelong learning through programs, advocacy and fundraising. The Friends foster a positive relationship between the Library and the community and raise much needed funds to support the Library beyond the day-to-day operating cost. The Friends’ book sale is a popular annual fundraising event. Funds raised by the Friends have been used to purchase a new copier for the Library, signs for last year’s Story Walk, summer reading and holiday events, crafts, and much more.
Interesting Info
Began the STREAM Program with funding to purchase kits for fun, hands-on learning in these fields of study and careers.
Each year our rural library has over 100 kids participate in our summer reading! The Friends funded the startup cost for our first Story Walk on the bike trail.
A goal of ours is to enhance the Library’s collection.
