What We Do
The Friends of the Agnes Robinson Waterloo Public Library promote literacy and lifelong learning through programs, advocacy and fundraising. The Friends foster a positive relationship between the Library and the community and raise much needed funds to support the Library beyond the day-to-day operating cost. The Friends’ book sale is a popular annual fundraising event. Funds raised by the Friends have been used to purchase a new copier for the Library, signs for last year’s Story Walk, summer reading and holiday events, crafts, and much more.
Interesting Info
- Began the STREAM Program with funding to purchase kits for fun, hands-on learning in these fields of study and careers.
- Each year our rural library has over 100 kids participate in our summer reading! The Friends funded the startup cost for our first Story Walk on the bike trail.
- A goal of ours is to enhance the Library’s collection and continue to bring new services to the library.
